Let's go to the Movies

The conservative comedy, "An American Carol" is now out on DVD for rental and for sale. I just received my copy from Amazon today and am looking forward to watching it this weekend. For those of you who don't know, Hollywood conservatives are a small, less vocal minority in the liberal, anything-goes city of Los Angeles. With lunatics like George Clooney, Barbra Streisand, and Rosie O'Donnell, foaming at the mouth to decry good solid conservative and mostly Republican Americans, sometimes it is hard to be heard.

This film stars Kelsey Grammer, and Kevin Farley (brother of comedian Chris Farley) and pokes fun at overall buffoon and liberal mouthpiece, Michael Moore. You probably remember Moore for his film Fahrenheit 9/11 that was proven to be full of lies about President Bush. I can't wait to see Michael Moore's lying butt skewered on my flat screen at home.

Auld Lang Syne

I wanted to post a New Year's shout-out to all my peeps in Salt Lake City, Rexburg, Bellevue, Seattle, Odessa, Belen, North-Texas, and yes even San Francisco.

2009 will be an interesting year. We will have a liberal, secular-progressive President in the White House who is looking to make his mark by fundamentally changing America. We have a liberal loud-mouth, "Negative Nancy" Pelosi, leading the House of Representatives and a liberal hot-head, "Horrible Harry" Reid, leading the Senate. And by no means do I want to forget that beacon of good cheer, Hillary Clinton, who will be the bitter scowling face of America throughout the world. What good can come of all that mess?

The senate election between Norm Coleman (R) and Al Franken (D) in Minnesota will once again be decided by endless recounts (which is the only way Democrats win anymore, well that is not entirely true, they also win by committing massive voter fraud, on a scale not even seen in communist countries or dictatorships). Boy, where do I sign up for all this fun?

Happy New Year indeed.

Israel's Forces are Massing in the East.

Israel is bringing tanks to the eastern border of Gaza and are calling reservist troops to prepare for a possible ground invasion of Gaza. Israel's foreign minister said the goal was to halt Gaza rocket fire on Israel for good, but not to reoccupy the territory.

In response to this, Syria has cut off peace-talks with Israel and much of the non-Arab world with the exception of the US, are asking Israel to show restraint and are stopping just short of condemning Israel's actions. Strangely, most of the European Union nations are NOT also condemning Hamas' bombing of Israel. In an interesting side-note, Hamas leaders have already fled Gaza and are hiding out elsewhere.

Anti-semitism is on the rise and I'm so afraid that the new administration will alter the US-Israeli relationship that has been in place almost since Israel was formed. We are big trouble if the relationship is changed.

Two-Face isn't just a villain from Batman...

This past week as the Mainstream Media gushed and practically wrote love poems about Obama's glistening and well defined pectorals, while singing his praises for working out regularly, I was reminded of how the same press crucified Bush over his "obsession with exercise"

Former Washington Post writer Jonathan Chait famously attacked Bush three years ago in an opinion piece for the Los Angeles Times headlined "The (over)exercise of power." Recounting how President Bush ran 3.5 miles a day and preached more cross-training to a federal judge, Chait fumed, "Am I the only person who finds this disturbing? ... What I mean is the fact that Bush has an obsession with exercise that borders on the creepy." Chait argued that Bush's passionate devotion to exercise was a dereliction of duty. "Does the leader of the free world need to attain that level of physical achievement?" he jeered. "It's nice for Bush that he can take an hour or two out of every day to run, bike or pump iron. Unfortunately, most of us have more demanding jobs than he does."

The press even used Bush's exercise regime as his excuse to avoid sitting down at a table and talking with that "model of decorum" Cindy Sheehan. When Sheehan was just down the road from Bush's Crawford, TX ranch, she said, "Bush should take fewer bike rides to have more time to focus on the 'the nation's work." Aren't you glad we have this loon Cindy Sheehan around to tell us these things?

The Liberal Media has made it easier for us in Middle America to understand:

Fit Republican president = Selfish, indulgent, creepy fascist.

Fit Democratic president = Disciplined, health-conscious Adonis role model.

Caroline, We Hardly Know Ye...

Caroline Kennedy (D) has expressed serious interest in replacing Hillary Clinton (D) in the Senate and David Paterson (D) the governor of New York has expressed the same level of interest in appointing her to the seat. Isn't this just what we need? Another Kennedy in the federal government.

An interesting note, New York politicos are concerned about Caroline Kennedy's lack of experience. Kennedy has never held political office or shaped public policy. I find this incredibly hypocrital considering that Obama, who has never accomplished anything during his government service, was overwhelmingly elected to the Presidency by these same people.

Don't Mince Words

Today in her interview on Fox News Sunday Laura Bush was asked by Chris Wallace if there was anything she wanted to get off her chest that she had been keeping inside for the last eight years.
The exchange went like this:

CW: Mrs. Bush would you like to get anything off your chest about the last eight years? Something you've kept inside?

LB: You mean about the press?

CW: Anything. Would you like to say something about the press?

LB: I was just kidding. But do I think the press has been fair? NO!

Good Job Laura. The press is so one sided and favors liberal democrats to such an extent that it influences people's opinions and creates perceptions that are not true.

Self-Defense

Israel is responding to Hamas-backed rocket attacks originating from Gaza, with the strongest barrage of bombs in a decade. While Israeli casualties have been limited to 1, and Palestinian casualties are at 225, it is important to remember that Hamas launches attacks from and hides behind civilians in heavily populated areas.

The United States, Israel's closest ally, blamed Hamas. "These people are nothing but thugs, so Israel is going to defend its people against terrorists like Hamas that indiscriminately kill their own people," White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said.

I think that Israel has the right to defend its borders and its people with whatever means are necessary. I personally think Israel should carpet-bomb Gaza and the West Bank and rid the world of these terrorists once and for all. Remember that the Palestinians are the same people who danced in the streets when the 9/11 attacks occured. Those animals celebrated the death of innocent Americans.

It will be interesting to see how President Obama will respond to Hamas' continued aggression against peaceful, civilized Israel. I'm hoping for total Nuclear destruction of Radical Islamic groups and the countries that harbor them. We'll see...

Must See TV!

This Sunday 12/28/2008 First Lady Laura Bush will appear on Fox News Sunday which airs in the early morning on the FOX Network and in the afternoon on the Fox News Channel. She is going to reflect on her husband's last eight years as President.

Laura Bush is a strong yet comforting woman who has a lot to say.

Check out local listings and don't miss this one. Laura Bush will be the last genuine, warm and caring First Lady, at least until we elect a conservative Republican President again...

Merry ChristmaRamaKwanzukah

This tradition of melding all of the holidays together is ridiculous. In order to be politically correct and avoid offending anyone, the heathen liberals who created this "Holiday Stew" have offended me. Kwanzaa was formed by 60's radicals who wanted to celebrate the "best" tenets of Marxism and communism and Ramadan is celebrated by Islam, you know, the "religion of peace." Christmas has ceased to be about the birth of Jesus and is now worshipped on the altar piled high with gifts and has become so commercial that it has overflowed to Hanukkah as well.

For those who don't know the meaning of Hanukkah, here it is:

Hanukkah, from the Hebrew word for "dedication" or "consecration", marks the re-dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem after its desecration by the forces of Antiochus IV and commemorates the "miracle of the container of oil". According to the Talmud, at the re-dedication following the victory of the Maccabees over the Seleucid Empire, there was only enough consecrated olive oil to fuel the eternal flame in the Temple for one day. Miraculously, the oil burned for eight days, which was the length of time it took to press, prepare and consecrate fresh olive oil.

I am wishing my christian friends Merry Christmas as the birth of our Saviour. To my Jewish friends I wish Happy Hanukkah. To everyone else, get saved by Jesus Christ the light of the world, and then we can talk.

Where has accountability gone?

The big banks that have taken part of the $700 billion dollar bailout are now refusing to answer questions about where the money has gone. They were supposed to use the money to lend but according to a recent Associated Press investigative article, these same banks have spent $1.6 billion of BAILOUT MONEY for executive compensation and bonuses.

Here is an article showing which banks have and are expected to take part of the bailout.

Here is a blog post showing which banks to date have NOT taken bailout money.

I won't recommend doing anything with your money but I am seriously thinking about changing my banks. I've provided you with the above info so you can make an informed decision if you decide to do the same. These banks are behaving OUTRAGEOUSLY!

Pennywise but Pound Foolish

This year as part of the Pope's Christmas message, he decried the selfishness that has brought on the global financial crisis. Although I am not Catholic, he had some very pointed but very correct things to say. I believe that this financial crisis is a serious message from God that we have to stop living out of our means and running up our credit cards and trying to compete with our neighbors for material things. I believe that Americans are learning this lesson the hard way. Credit card limits are being slashed and houses that most people cannot afford are suddenly worth less than the loans. At least Americans are starting to finally conserve gas which is keeping the price of Oil and gas very low.

Life is not about selfishly buying everything you want. As Christians we are supposed to buy what we need and depend on God for those things.

Here is the pope's message.

The Day that Free Speech Died

Gay Activists are pushing President Elect Obama to pass legislation making it a hate crime to voice opposition to Gay Lifestyles. People who say any negative thing about Gay lifestyle will be punished as a hate crime.
This is an assault on MY first amendment right to speak out on things I don't believe in.
I believe there will be an assault by sinful Gay activists on the public school and also on Christian churches. No longer will churches be able to decry homosexual behavior and may even have to allow Gay people to serve as deacons and pastors.
Forcing people to accept the gay lifestyle puts us on the slippery slope to accept things like pedophilia and incest. The great pastor, Rick Warren who will be giving the invocation at Obama's inaugaration is totally correct.

THIS IS WRONG!

You got me under pressure...

In regards to my negative review of the book "Twilight", my mother has brought down the hammer and has called my review, "inexcusable and overly harsh". I sincerely apologize to my mom and my Aunt Loyce if I have offended them.

Hated the book, LOVED the movie

I have just returned from seeing "Twilight" with my mom. I was expecting the worst after reading half of the first book, but was very pleasantly surprised. Where the pace of the book was plodding, the movie was graceful. Where the writing in the book was sophomoric and poorly written, the onscreen chemistry and dialogue was genuine and rich. Where the book's plot was cliche-ridden and schlocky, the movie flowed smoothly and gracefully. This movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen in my entire life. The cinematography was flawless, and the acting was top notch. If the movie screenwriter had been the author of the books, I would be able to declare the books literary masterpieces. Unfortunately that is not the case. Stephanie Meyer has no business writing a grocery list much less a novel. Go see the movie and avoid the book like the plague.

If kissing a smoker is like kissing an ashtray, does that mean kissing a liberal is like kissing an ass?

In town to receive her Kennedy Center Honor this week, Barbara Streisand, a vocal critic of President George W. Bush, was a guest at the White House where she and Bush kissed and hugged in the receiving line.
Talk about surreal. I bet people at that party had to pinch themselves to see if they were dreaming. Streisand regularly refers to Bush's two elections in 2000 and 2004 as stolen.

The Kennedy Center Honors will be broadcast on CBS on December 30, 2008.

With 56 you get eggroll, with 41 you get filibuster...

Republican Saxby Chamblis of Georgia won his run-off election Tuesday so the count in the Senate is 41-R, 56-D, and 2-I (both of which caucus with the Democrats). Now all we need is a decisive victory over that idiot Al Franken in Minnesota.

There will be no supermajority of liberals in Congress.
