Question of the Day.

Question: Michael, what is your opinion on the recent change in "hold music" on congressional phone lines, which was instituted by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi?

Answer: First a little background. Until just last week, when constituents or anyone for that matter, would call their congressional rep's office in DC and be placed on hold, patriotic American music would be played. Nancy Pelosi has slimmed down the choices for hold music in Congressional Offices to (1) Jazz or (2) No music at all. It is important to note that this change has not saved money for taxpayers nor has it cost taxpayers anything extra. So why the change? Well, with the "death panels" being stricken from the Universal Healthcare Bill, I guess the Democrats figured that they'll still be able to bore older constituents to death with elevator music instead. Thanks for your question.

  1. Very interesting change. Why mess with something that doesn't need to be messed with. Too much time on their hands? Nothing better to think about? Hmmmm....

  2. The reason for the change is a very simple one. Liberals generally don't like the flag or outward symbols of America and patriotic music certainly qualifies. I think that Nancy Pelosi thinks that if people call in to their REPS and hear rousing patriotic tunes, it will spur them to react even more strongly to the liberal agenda they are trying to force down our throats...
